Le Lycée "Vert d'Azur" d'Antibes : Des formations à l'échelle de l'Union Européenne
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Following the setting up of the new European Education Erasmus + Programme and of the 2014-2020 Lifelong Learning Programme, the Horticultural High School of Antibes (LEGTA) has decided to apply for this new project from October 2014 onwards. Indeed, this kind of programme properly meets: - The Public Agricultural Education missions which read as follows: providing general, technological and vocational education through schooling, training and lifelong learning, taking part in rural life, contributing to the integration of young people and adults into the world of school, society and work, contributing to development, experimentation and investigation activities and eventually taking part in international cooperation encouraging exchanges. - The policy of the Antibes High School which has already allowed pupils and students to leave and perform their vocational traineeships abroad for many years now thanks to both institutional and private processes. Partnerships have been formed or reinforced thanks to the help of the Antibes Town Council and to the network of various members of staff in order to make up to 20 learners aged 16 or more from both the landscaping and the horticultural production field studying in vocational and technological A-Level benefit from an internship abroad. These internships may last from two to five weeks as specified in the curriculums of those courses. Persons attending this programme can thus : - Develop their vocational skills, knowledge and know-how in an environment different from the one they know, - Increase their autonomy, - Gain the skills required on the labour market, - Both enhance the learning of a foreign language and discover new cultural, social and European dimensions. Learners will thus be sent to a European Partner country with the logistic help of local teams, host countries and professionals in the field during their whole traineeship from October 2014 onwards and in July and October 2015. Mobilities for learners who undertake a learning and a professional experience in another country are assured in a safe environment which respects and protects the rights of all persons. Effective procedures and arrangements promoting and guaranteeing the safety and protection of the participants in their project have been implemented. Moreover, mobilities must fully answer the requirements of the various curriculums. The aim is to perpetuate this partnership project and to add more partner countries so that in the future, after the writing of our Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, we can extend this programme to both undergraduate and graduate students thanks to the development of a high school culture and of long-lasting partnerships. A qualitative and quantitative study of the results will lead to an assessment in the short, medium and long terms using tools such as : - The increase in the number of application forms from learners, partners and staff involved, - The success rate in exams and more precisely the marks got at the training report defenses and language, - The assessment of the experience of all the persons or structures involved, - The integration rate of the candidates on the local, regional, national labour market and even beyond.
