The project, "Intercultural dialogue and active European citizenship in the Centre Region" took place at the Maison de l'Europe de Tours Centre Val de Loire, Europe Direct Information Centre, France, from January 1st 2015 to October 30th 2015. This project involved two organisations : the Maison de l'Europe de Tours and the Youth International Initiative in Malaga, Spain. Only one volunteer has been hosted at the Maison de l'Europe de Tours Centre Val de Loire. The main topic of this project was intercultural dialogue and active European citizenship in Centre Region that are at the core of the topics raised by both organisations. The hosted volunteer collaborated with the members of the organisation essentially about the following topics : 2015 European year of development, Latvian and Luxemburger presidencies of the Council of the EU, Spain (culture, language, society, political system, etc.). Those topics have been developped through various educational activities such as workshops, information, expositions, educational tools, publication, organisation of European coffees and other intercultural events, Website updating and social networks. The volunteer benefited from French language classes at the CUEFEE (Centre Universitaire d’Enseignement du Français pour étudiants étrangers). Other learning opportunities have been offered to her through the french National Agency.
