LBO Développement Européen 2
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Bois d'Olive high school enthusiastically took part in the European project in 2014. All through this project the school endowed itself with new bodies - such as the steering committee - and with new procedures to allow a greater number of its staff to participate in training courses and job shadowing in European countries. This allowed our teachers to deepen their reflection on their working experience, acquire new skills and implement new collaborative techniques and methods in their everyday work. Our school thus enriched itself through these experiences of European and international openness. In 2015, 15 teachers will take part in training courses and job shadowing abroad in order to improve their working skills and therefore contribute with even more efficiency to the efforts of the whole education community to reach ambitious objectives for teachers and pupils alike : - A better and increased use of foreign languages in building their educational and personal projects. - Increased contacts with other Europeans to create networks to share data and skills. - An opportunity for all the pupils to be part of a European project during their school years. - A renewed commitment to the European values. - Growing ambition and self-confidence for the students. Thanks to the deeper involvement of its staff, Bois d'Olive high school has joined European networks, and we will keep on developing our international contacts both for the staff and the pupils. The evolution of our professional, relational, or organizational skills will allow our pupils – who often come from socially or culturally underprivileged backgrounds - to build more and more ambitious futures for themselves, as students as well as citizens.
