The background of this project is the new Finnish curriculum of 2016 and the following topics arising from it: the pedagogical use of ICT resources and the internationalisation of schools. The main activity of the project is an immersion course for language teachers organized by LFEE Europe in France in which our teacher would be taking part in summer 2016 with the support of our headmaster.The objectives of the project are to improve the teacher's language skills and cultural knowledge, to gain new ideas, tools and methods for language teaching (especially ICT resources), and to develop partnerships with other European teachers which would hopefully lead to cooperation, such as pupil / staff mobility, in the future.The project is expected to contribute to our school's language learning and teaching through teacher training as well as to the internationalisation of our school through new European partnerships. This would benefit our school by enabling new multicultural and multilingual experiences to our pupils, as well as to the school staff, and by motivating the pupils in language learning and the teachers in language teaching.
