Language Training
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The aim of the project will be to increase the awareness and confidence of staff, pupils and the wider community in the learning of the Spanish language and culture. There will be one member of staff attending the course in Malaga, Spain with the intention of further training the staff and developing teaching and learning styles within the school upon return. The confidence gained through the attendance of the course will enable the school to follow the new national curriculum for languages in an effective and productive manner in which the young learners are highly motivated and keen to learn the Spanish language and all about Spanish culture. It is aimed that through making links with other schools the children will be able to write to and make contact with other schools through e-twinning. This form of communication will increase the level of ICT being used within the school and will also lead to increased confidence when incorporating new ICT methods within languages teaching. It is the aim of the project to have a long term benefit locally, nationally and internationally for the children which will greatly benefit them in the modern world that we live in.
