Language of Economics and Intercultural Studies - Training Aid to Better Economic Achievement in the United Europe

The project's general aim is to create an educational and training framework specific to foreign language and cultural understanding, aimed at business students and business people trained by the Belgian, Hungarian, French, Polish and Swedish schools involved in the project partnership. The project will build upon the partners' previous Leonardo project experience, in the collection and development of material for an English language study guide on the economic, social, and cultural characteristics of five of the partner countries. This will be accompanied by a study guide on international economic/business law and the expansion of an existing dictionary on EU finance/trade and business law from its current four languages (EN, DE, FR & HU) to include a further two (NL & PL). Project partners will be responsible for collecting material from a range of sources for the development of both the study guides and the dictionary. Material will be made available in printed form and on CD-Rom. These new study materials will be piloted in the partner countries. Evaluation of the pilot results will allow the project partners to agree on uniform and innovative methods for delivering the study materials as training programmes across the partner countries. A project website will be established to facilitate communication between the project partners and to assist the project's dissemination efforts.
