The value of ancient viability, which was already well known before roman times but not as well spread, is given by the strong connection that has always linked different areas to their populations. The historical reference allows to recover the two mountain sides heritage and this helps to bring back and enhance local identity. The territorial identity, that has ancient origins, will benefit the population and visitors in terms of knowledge and management of the area. Visitors will in fact walk on roads on which emperors, popes, the military, merchants and simple travellers, have travelled before them. All this will be made possible through new ICT systems and turning the sites into a museum in order to encourage territorial integration for a better economic and organizational management.
