La Privacité, valeur de l’économie européenne axée sur les données
Start date: Sep 1, 2015, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Europe wants to accelerate the transition to a data-driven economy and take advantage of this huge potential. Success depends on the confidence of stakeholders (entrepreneurs, citizens and consumers, responsible for data). The benefits of Big Data require social trust and acceptance of digital, based on respect for European values. The PRIVEAD (Personal Data in the European data-driven economy) is a "cross-fertilization" project that aims discussion and reflection on legal and ethical issues about privacy posed by the new economic social model built, on the data. The goal is to build, renew and radiate European policies concerning the protection of personal data in the new DDE economy. The impact is intended:1º Scientific and academic, involving cross disciplines (lawyers, philosophers, economists, engineers), various interests (stakeholders) and local, national and international sensitivities (Catalonia, Spain, Europe, Canada, China). A scientific collective work is the product of these meetings. A website disseminates and strengthens the activity. Congresses and working seminars, carefully structured, create a debate core that wants to radiate in many other courses:2º University education at the University of Barcelona. The classes (2015-16 and 2016-17) meet their product in the teaching open materials placed "Digital Repository UB", and a future basis for new activities.3º Non-university education (primary / secondary, consumer associations, public administration training) through the Consumer School of Catalonia.4º The dissemination among civil society and stakeholders.
