La Pace non è mai un atto isolato / Peace is never an isolated act
Start date: May 1, 2015, End date: Oct 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The youth exchange "Peace is never an isolated act" was intended as an educational project aimed at promoting reconciliation and non-violent transformation of conflicts, as well as democratic and participation values. The participants were girls and boys aged between 16 and 19 years old coming from places that had been or were in conflict: this project have involved groups of Italians and Germans, Israelis and Palestinians. These delegations, leaded by two adult trainers, have spent two weeks in Monte Sole - Marzabotto sharing daily life and working together divided into small groups that vary on a daily base; the educational path was marked by moments of games and role-plays, readings, personal reflections, group discussions, performances and short trips. Each delegation developed a programme before the camp and after it. The aim of the preparation meetings, held by each group in its country, was to improve the youngsters’ skills in non-formal education techniques, in order to give them the possibility of a better working environment and atmosphere during the camp; the aim of the follow-up meetings was not to loose the results reached during the camp itself while to strenghten them: for this main reason, these kind of activities are been organised in combined delegations, with a special support for the activities among Israelis and Palestinians.
