La maintenance énergétique dans l'Union Européenne
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project concerns 20 vocational school students registered in a European section in HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning). These students are mainly from disadvantaged social class and will present, as a supplement to their diploma, the EUROPRO distinction. The project consists of 4 weeks training period in the partner countries: Czech Republic and Ireland, for 2015 and 2016. This year 2014 we work with two partner companies : - OPTIMAL FACILITY in PRAGUE - TECH Refrigeration in DUBLIN For a total of 8 trainees. We plan eventually the placement of 10 students a year. The distribution of the trainees between the various countries is made in January according to: - The number of trainees likely to be welcomed by our partners according to their own economic situation. - The number of students in our classes, - The degree of implication of our students in their training. Chronological methodology: - Search for foreign hosting companies in the sector of the HVAC - Meeting with the new partners and on-the-spot search for solution of accommodation for the trainees - After distribution of the students, the tripartite agreements are established - additional linguistic formation of the students and information given to the students and to their families (Presentation of the company, everyday life in the country, behaviour during the internship, various recommendations, etc.) - Logistic organization of the journey + accommodation + Safe pass course and exam. - Accompanying of the students in the 1st week of internship: journey, integration in the country and in the hosting company - During 15 days, the students end up alone in the hosting country. - Accompanying of the students in the last week of internship: assessment of the internship and the return journey. - Report written in English by the student and validation by the teachers - Sitting of the Europro Distinction and of the European Section Distinction integrated in the vocational school diploma. The objectives of this internship are: - For the participants: ** Live a 4 week work experience within a European company which activity is in direct relationship with their training; that is to say HVAC: this experience allows them to obtain the final examination. ** grasp the statutory aspects within the framework of new European legislations (with for example the Safe Pass course), ** Adapt themselves to different organizations and working rhythms from their origin country, ** Validate language skills acquired in the professional domain (Europro Distinction, European Section Vocational School Diploma). ** Make the students aware of the European culture ** Develop their willingness of mobility ** Facilitate their integration into the working world, their internship being a real added value to the diploma. - For our school: ** Create a network of partner companies which enhances its European dimension, by creating a synergy of skills and by developing friendly links with them. ** Make this training attractive and recruit students motivated by the HVAC sector. The project deeply contributes to modify the pessimistic vision of the future that the students of vocational school may have. By means of the internship, they discover in them a real potential which brings them to another open-mindedness and to bigger autonomy. So, this period of training in a company abroad becomes the trigger of new possibilities for these young people: higher education and/or hiring in other regions or countries, what previously could seem to them inconceivable. The main part is that this internship allows them to become aware of the way of becoming European responsible citizens. They understand the environmental role they have to play in the control of the energies for a better respect of their planet.
