l'Europe pour améliorer ses pratiques
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Within a context of regular Comenius projects, our school system has not acquired a real European openness yet, for only about one third of the educationnal staff is involved in these projects. A better command of the English language would definitely help us get involved in this opening up towards Europe because expressing oneself more or less easily is one of the determining factors which prevents from having access to it. As far as the other actions are concerned, there will be a theretical meeting - courses in Riga - then a practical one - a training period in Heraklion' European school - about cultural and educational diversity. A first action aims at improving the English speaking and writing skills of eight teachers of the school ( cycles1, 2, 3 and inclusion class ) so as to make them able to plan and conduct new pedagogical schemes as well as improving current ones already under way. That will be carried out during a one week training in London in autumn 2015, spring 2016 or summer 2016 during the French school holidays. In view of its immersion English training programs, the teachers have selected SILC, a setup well renowned for supplying high quality trainings . Thus a higher asurance in English amongst the teachers will facilitate a greater and better reinvestment which in turn will be more profitable to the pupils . The second part includes a theorical contribution about European diversity (Riga, August 2015) and a week of observation in a European school (Heraklion, spring 2016). In return of these experiences, the manager will try to give a broader European dimension to the school. In the long run, these training returns will be able to motivate other colleagues, who may with to receive this training at the time of Erasmus + projects, mobilities and also school parterships (KA2) , project which will be submitted in march 2015.
