Our school has not to this day really opened up to the European environment within the frame of ongoing Comenius projects since only about one third of the teachers have been involved in such projects. First of all, some English language courses would help to a better command of English and will thus encourage to a greater openness to Europ, having in mind that a struggling communication constitutes a major hindrance to joining in . As regards the second action, tackling with the serious learning problems encountered with some pupils has been a priority focus and many routes to alleviating that problem have been identified in France and other European countries . This project provides for two lines of action towards improving the current situation, each of those involve in turn some other more general objectives. A first action aims at improving the English speaking and writing skills of two teachers of the school ( i.e. one cycle 2 teacher along with the headmaster ) so as to make them able to plan and conduct new pedagogical schemes as well as improving current ones already under way. That will be carried out during a one week training in London in autumn 2014 during the French school holidays. In view of its immersion English training programs, the teachers have selected SILC, a setup well renowned for supplying high quality trainings . Thus a higher asurance in English amongst the teachers will facilitate a greater and better reinvestment which in turn will be more profitable to the pupils . The second action will consist in a survey period to be carried out in a large italian school (I.C.S. Manzoni-Impastato-Palerme) that comprises 27 specialised teachers who work with pupils exhibiting various particular needs . That survey will take place in 2015 during the winter or spring holidays . The experience feedback may be put to use to the school itself or to the struggling pupils by means of APC sessions ( i.e. additional teaching activities ) or simply during the usual schooling time . In time, those training feedbacks might prompt some colleagues to also take advantage of similar training through further Erasmus + mobility projects and/or through school parterships – projects that I plan to submit in March 2015 .
