Kvalifikacijų ir profesinio mokymo plėtros centro darbuotojų mobilumas
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Scope. The Project concerns two main activity spheres of Qualifications and VET Development Centre (QVETDC) – development of qualifications that correspond to labour market needs and formation of related modular VET programmes, as well as development and strengthening of quality culture in VET institutions. Job shadowing in responsible foreign establishments will enable to find solutions to topical issues concerning VET curricula, quality, attractiveness as well as discover ways to better include various stakeholders into VET qualifications development processes. Therefore, we consider that foreign institutions having been working in the spheres for a number of years will be extremely supportive in sharing their experience. Furthermore, our staff will greatly benefit from job shadowing exercise within the institutions in the sense that they will be able to discuss issues of importance and good practice examples. Goal. The goal of the Project is to develop QVETDC staff competencies and strengthen the cooperation among QVETDC, VET institutions and social partners. This will add up to the development of VET system and its attractiveness. Methods. QVETDC staff will participate in job shadowing, observe receiving institutions‘ work processes, communicate with their staff. Participants. It is planned that 10 representatives of QVETDC staff will benefit from the mobility. During the selection it will be required that the staff have direct responsibilities and experience related to the topics to be covered during the visits in receiving partners‘ institutions: implementation of qualifications system, development of VET curricula and quality, increasing VET attractiveness and encouraging participation in lifelong learning. Results. Competencies acquired during participation in the mobility visits will enable the staff to better organise their work regarding Lithuanian qualifications framework, cooperation with social partners in the formation of VETcurricula and ensuring quality. The experience acquired during the visit will also be applied during methodological consultations and training provided by QVETDC staff. On personal level, QVETDC staff will improve their professional and foreign language competencies, experience international work environment and improve their cross-cultural communication. On the National level we expect better cooperation among QVETDC, VET institutions and social partners, better VET quality and, therefore, better attractiveness. On the European level future partnerships may be developed in the sphere of VET. Coordination. The Project will be coordinated and continuously monitored by Project coordinator. Project accountant will be responsible for finance management, correct records and financial data provision.
