kuska
Start date: Nov 1, 2015, End date: Dec 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Within the framework of the project “kuska”, materials are being developed on the questions currently facing international development cooperation. They will be uploaded onto a website for anyone to use free of charge. The goal is to work towards an understanding for global interdependence, tackling inter-cultural challenges as well as the functionality in development cooperation. The resources readied for this purpose will enable young people to take reflective action based on solidarity. The skills which they will acquire by using these resources could be useful not just for their future experience abroad, but also for their future career. The project „kuska“ is a follow-up project of the project „LERNEN HELFEN LERNEN“ which includes a website, a model exhibiton, a short film and preparatory trainings for prospective volunteers. The project „kuska“ complements these materials with web-based preparatory trainings and useful resources for prospective volunteers as well as draft lectures and workshop concepts for students collecting donations for projects in so-called „developing“ countries. Organizations involved with development cooperation can use these materials transferring knowledge about development cooperation with little time. The project will be undertaken by four organizations from Liechtenstein, Italy and Germany. Three of these organizations work in the field of development cooperation and one in the field of art and culture. The interdisciplinary composition of the team will facilitate the development of demanding and attractive materials for both teaching and learning. All products of the projects „LERNEN HELFEN LERNEN“ and „kuska“ will be provided in German, English and partly in Italian and will remain freely accessible.
