Gymnázium Teplice as a school with a long tradition and an effort to implement modern methods into the lessons has decided to join Erasmus+ project to improve the competences and qualifications of English teachers. The target group are both young teachers, who can gain more experience and knowledge after graduation, and experienced teachers, who will improve their teaching methods. The project is focused on the methods of teaching and improving the knowledge of language, didactics and British culture. The project is divided into three phases – preparation, realization and dissemination. The expected results and the impact can be divided into two parts. The impact on teachers that includes higher motivation, gaining new international contacts, further joining the eTwinning and teachers’ cooperation. The students will benefit from more inventive English lessons that will include new methods and forms of work. The teachers will improve their ICT skills and enlarge multicultural knowledge through cooperation with other teachers from different cultures. All that will increase the reputation of our school and we will guarantee further education of our pedagogues that is necessary for every prosperous school. The authentic materials will be shared among teachers in the future. The project will be advertised through the school website, posters and notice boards and on the public open day. We will publish the articles in local press and organize meetings for other English teachers from our district.
