Kūrybiškumo ir inovatyvumo ugdymas gimnazijos veikloje
Start date: May 1, 2014, End date: Apr 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

According to European strategic documents such as “Europe 2020” and “Education and Learning 2020” general priorities, gymnasium strategic goals and renewed teaching material base, there is a necessity to gain some experience in implementing innovation, using IT and digital devices, developing creativity and innovation and improving educational process. There is a necessity to communicate and collaborate, to use the resources rationally in order to achieve the stable development of gymnasium, too. The aim of the project is to apply the knowledge and experience, which were acquired within the European courses, creatively and innovatively in education using digital technology, to summarize the experience gained in courses and gymnasium and share it with other schools. 12 mobilities were held during the project, 7 teachers and the representative of administration participated in mobilities - three Math teachers, two English teachers, a geography teacher, one IT teacher and the deputy principal. Two or three gymnasium teachers (because of the price difference of the courses there were two additional mobilities), ICT coordinator and teacher andragogue took place in the course. The participants represented various gymnasium groups: administration, school board, teachers, non-formal education teachers, internal self-assessment group. Representation in such groups allowed to effectively use the knowledge obtained during the course and adapt it in school management at most, as well as to use the knowledge for further strategic planning, enhancing the quality of lessons, for subjects integration and use of tablets in different subjects. Five mobilities were held for learning purposes: "ICT for Collaborative, Project-Based, Teaching and Learning" (“Smart Solution Ltd”, Malta, 2014); “ODS Summer School Academy” (Ellinogermaniki Agogi Scholi Panagea Savva AE, Greece, 2015),"Stimulating Creativity and Innovation”(CREF, Portugal, 2015), “Tape-Swipe- Pinch”( “Euneos Oy“, Spain, 2015), “Technology Tools for Educators”( „A & A Emphasys Interactive Solutions Ltd“, Cyprus, 2015). The acquired competences enabled to effectively assess as well as self-assess the quality of the lesson and start the development of shared leadership. Participating in these courses helped to develop the European dimension of our school. We were interested in the methods and instruments applied in the teaching process by the course participants from other European countries. 50% of the teachers took part in the presentations of the mobilities organized for the school community and 57 % of the teachers actively participated in the workshops-seminars “IT devices for the development of students’ creativity” and “The possibilities of mobile devices in teaching”. The knowledge and skills gained during these workshops were used in formal as well as non-formal education; six articles were published in the regional as well as local newspapers, the information was uploaded on the website of the gymnasium. A national conference “The development of creativity and innovations with the help of digital technologies” was organized by the project team. The webpage of the project http://kabgpromob.weebly.com was created and all the information about the project as well as teaching materials were uploaded there. The project team made several suggestions concerning the promotion of digital innovations into the strategic plan of the gymnasium. We cooperate with our new partners of the project and prepare new projects. Cooperation mandates have already been signed. The participants of the project developed their personal, professional and intercultural competences and received certificates and the lists of the competences. We strongly believe that the implemented changes will be beneficial in a new model of evaluating and assessing students’ individual development and achievements, which is being created at our gymnasium. While implementing this model, digital technologies will be widely used. New contacts with the colleagues from other countries were made during the courses, we joined the ODS and eTwinning. Due to the usage of digital technologies non-formal educational programs have become more attractive and creative, more and more often unconventional teaching and learning surroundings are being used.
