Kulturoaktywni project was a long-term EVS hosting two volunteers for 8 months. Participants of the project were partner organizations from Poland - Angelus Silesius House (CO) and a branch of the City Library - Mediateka (HO) and two sending organizations from Germany and Greece - Experiment eV and K.S.D.E.O. EDRA. Mediateka hosted two volunteers for 8 months from February 2015. The project was directly related to the daily activities of Mediateka. The main theme of the project were to enhance the cultural activities of people in all age, strengthening intercultural competences and to promote mobility and activities for the local community. The responsibilities of volunteers were mostly typical library work centering on readers and library resources, allowing integrate with the local community and affect positive change of the role of librarian in modern library. Volunteer were responsible for promoting Mediateka through the use of social media and conduct conversations in foreign languages ??within the Language Cafe. Volunteers actively participated and helped with the organization of regular events organized in Mediateka like Travelling Festival, or the Living Library. Volunteers organized their own cultural evenings, were engaged in the promotion of events, finding partners, preparing posters and their distribution. Volunteers helped with regular workshops for children organized in the Multicentre (part of Mediateka), which is an interactive center for children. In addition, volunteers organized their own actions - a mini projects for the local community. The project was based mainly on the methods of non-formal and informal education.
