The objective of the project which is applied by Kuldiga District council is improvement of capacity of managers of pedagogical methodological commissions. One of the strategic objectives of Kuldiga District Development Programme of 2014- 2020 is to maintain and increase the human potential of the area, which intends that Kuldiga District provides accessible education of high quality and competitiveness, therefore, provision of effective professional development and motivation programs for teaching staff is planned. Five managers of pedagogical methodological commissions will take part in the project. Two pedagogues will take part in courses in Finland, training center Edukarjala, one pedagogue will go to Cyprus to course "Interactive media for teaching and learning" in Bios Life Long learning center, manager of methodological commission of English will go to courses to Ireland, course provider is English Matters, S.L., in cooperation with Dublin Trinity College. Manager of methodological commission of geography will go to courses in Portugal, course provider is Quarter Mediation, which deals with Lifelong learning issues. Managers of methodological commissions will increase their knowledge in the following areas: professional skills for organization of qualitative educational process, activities of personal development, increase of intellectual and cultural level, acquisition of foreign language, digital skills, modern pedagogical technologies, planning of creative pedagogical work, stimulation and differentiated approach to pupils' comprehensive development, activities in increasing of pedagogical competences of society and parents and popularization of pedagogical ideas.Project participants' knowledge of current events in the context of new learning environments, introduction of new teaching methods, acquisition of digital skills in context of Europe will contribute to the internationalization of education and improve the quality of education in Kuldiga District council educational institutions, that is coherent with the Kuldiga District Development Programme of 2014- 2020.
