The owner of this project , Girls’Technical and Vocational High School,give 50 graduated student from the department of Hand Crafts Technology every year.These graduated students cannot be trained not only with requested skills from a competitive business market but also through a well-functioning and developed education system.Training with the moduls coming from a center where local opportunities,necessities and circumtances of market ignored, is a great deficiency. Although The Ministry of National Education Training Board give teachers freedom of writing moduls , it cannot be managed as a result of technical inability may be also teachers’ lack of skills and self-confidence.The Teachers cannot be requested participants about local opportunities,expectations of business market, new applications and approaches so this fact handicapes training of competitive and expectated students.After graduation, our students work in several unrelated jobs with their four year education, accumulation and skills. Whereas there are many identified products with Tokat such as Tokat headscarf , Tokat doll , Tokat table cloth , Tokat scarf ,Tokat cloth and Tokat stone printing . We give the training of these traditional hand crafts to students in our formal and common education of our school . Printing of local motifs and cultural entities produced by our students are not well-known in national and international area,so they are not requested in enough level and cannot contribute to the employment and economy . We believe that working with the international well-known motifs belongs to differerent countries and nations (Mostar Bridge , Eiffel Tower etc.) in addition to specific local motifs for Tokat printed on headscarf , scarf , table cloth , leather , buckle , doll with the technics of printing, processing , knitting , painting and pasting ; will reach to larger potential in international market. We will teach our students the process of specific product for Tokat by synthesis of the presence of international culture with local, traditional hand crafts. So these products will be attention both in internal market and external market especially in touristic places and markets. Thanks to this attention will increase price of products and request , we can prevent our students’ leaving from our school caused by pressure of unemployment. We want to observe of work in the Czech Republic who manage to harmonize not only different motifs with different cultural values for each product but also give the most wonderful examples in the area of hand crafts ( for gift , toy , decoration , home textile , home accessories ). If our project are accepted and ended with success , we will get most wanted department , determined girl students to complete their education , qualified work power in economic sector especially ability for our business. During our visit ; after observation of work , training and vocational guidance in Europe , we aim to spread consciousness and sensitivity in this topic thanks to local presentation , banner , brochure , booklet and also with regional representatives of national press.After that we aim to prepare a report about detected study related to this topic and share it with District National Education Directorate , Turkish Employment Agency and related business market. Participants of our project are all teachers.They consist ten teachers from the department of hand crafts , school administrators and other responsibles for spreading results.As a result of our observation of work process, participant teachers will take certificates prepared by our European partner.Also, in order to prove participants’ competency during experiences in abroad, document of Europass will be given. Our expectations from this project are such as our teacher will be able to have cultural relations with Europe , development of their foreign language skills and modern understanding of vocational guidance . Our project is planned totally 12 months ,but Europe visit is 1 week with 10 participant . Planned process in Prague , the Czech Republic, between the dates 22/09/2014 and 29/09/2014.
