The main goal of our project is to acquire the latest student-centered methodological knowledge in foreign languages as well as content-based instruction as the number of students with various learning disabilities and children from disadvantaged families is constantly growing. Our institution – since the primary and secondary school institutional units offer English bilingual education - has a long tradition in the field of foreign languages and content -based instruction . Our goal is to preserve our values, but there is a great need for continuous renewal , as the rapidly changing environment , the rapidly growing number of students facing various problems set us new challenges. They must be provided with high -quality education and we have to help them to skills with which they can become active and responsible European citizens. The project team consists of four members: there are teachers who teach their subjects in English and there are foreign language teachers . We all have the language skills required by the project. The head of the institution was in full agreement with the selected colleagues who are committed , interested in the topic , welcome to cooperate with the project team and undertake the additional tasks associated with the project . We have chosen the following courses so far: Talking to People , Dublin, Ireland: The course focuses on inquiry-based project work, acquiring new civilizational knowledge , methodology and language skills . Expected outcomes of the project include: The new learner-centered methodology acquired knowledge, up to date , relevant knowledge transfer positively influence the students' learning attitudes , motivate them for effective learning of foreign languages . Participants will gain new knowledge regarding the culture of the target language , which can then be passed on to students in authentic , knowledge based on personal experiences . During the international mobilities the teacher colleagues will get into contact with colleagues from various countries and this provides an opportunity to organize common projects and it means an additional incentive for the students , because they can build a connection to students from other European countries and they can use their foreign language skills in real situations.
