The National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art is an educational institution that provides primary, secondary, general and artistic education for highly gifted children, preparing future professional artists. Linguistic diversity does not only effect on economy, mobility and integration of European citizens, but it is also a cultural dialogue instrument. There is a choice between four languages at The National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Art: English, German, French and Russian. A significant part of students, choosing arts institute abroad and trying to integrate into its labor markets, therefore knowing of a foreign language is very important. Internal records showed that English Language is the most popular and well absorbed language not only due to influence of competent teachers but also due to its constant presence. Meanwhile, Other languages are more difficult for students and they use them only at classroom. Taking into the account that above-mentioned reasons, the School is planning to develop a long-term project - Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL, "EMILE”) method into its educational process. "EMILE” Educational type to be installed successfully and developed in our School, during 2017 – 2019 all Teachers need to acquire necessary communication and methodological competences. The project "Communication - methodological skills of an integrated language learning process (phase I)” is the first stage of implementing “EMILE” model. The main aim of this project is to acquire competencies of foreign language communications and specific language subjects that are taught, development of teacher’s qualification by improving their methodological skills which are necessary for bilingual education. During the project, according to set criteria, the selection committee will select 4 motivated and competent general and special education teachers, and two internationally experienced French language teachers who will participate in training courses at France. After goals of this mobility project will be reached and once bilingual education will be integrated, students will improve their French language and communication skills, to know the culture of France and other European Union countries even more deeply, to broaden their opportunities to internship or to continue their studies and career in French-speaking countries. The experience gained during this project will not only help to reach the main strategic goal of school by improving teachers competencies, qualifications, introducing new forms of education and endorsing the education of gifted children but also will increase general qualitative and quantitative indicators of linguistic mastery in Lithuania by European Union level. It is also to increase our school possibilities to implement European Union projects involving general education and art educators. Using the mobility opportunities offered by the program will be prepared the foundation of the organization's objectives for further – the integration of French (and German) and ballet (music) subjects at M.K. Čiurlionis School of Art.
