Project Name: "A competent teacher - a high quality of education" Coordinator: ZST Mikołów, Poland Partners: VITALIS Betreuungsgesellschaft für Modellprojekte mbH, Schkeuditz, Germany; Esmovia Sistema Practices, Valencia, Spain; Training Vision ltd., Portsmouth, United Kingdom Demands: The project was a response to the need to improve the quality and attractiveness of vocational education and training, and adapting the education system to labor market requirements. It was essential to allow teachers to continue professional development in the context of lifelong learning. We are interested in using the latest technology used in the partner countries in the process of teaching and learning, e-learning, methods of establishing cooperation between schools, companies and firms, and to receive feedback on the needs of the labor market. The project was consistent with the needs of our school and the region to support teacher training aimed at improving the quality of teaching, particularly in the implementation of innovative teaching methods and the use of ICT tools in teaching and management; orientation of the education process for the effective use of educational base and active teaching methods to improve the effectiveness and attractiveness of vocational and technical schools; introduction of computer programs in the teaching of general and vocational subjects; increasing the international dimension of the school by continuing and expanding cooperation with foreign partners; increasing the linguistic competence of teachers; developing a sense of European citizenship and identity.Training abroad was another form of development for teachers who participate in numerous workshops, courses and methodical conferences in our country. They are experts in their field and it iwas valuable for them to share experience, interesting solutions and practices with experts from other EU countries, and thus improve and modernize methods of work in the field of general and vocational training. The main objectives: The aim of the project was to support teachers of general and vocational subjects in ZST in the improvement, gaining knowledge and skills referring active, innovative forms of teaching, the use of ICT tools in teaching to make lessons easier and more attractive , facilitate personal development in the context of teacher training, equip teachers inknowledge and skills to use educational base and active teaching methods in the classroom effectively, in order to increase the effectiveness and attractiveness of vocational and technical schools, to acquire the knowledge and skills crucial for the introduction of computer programs in the general and vocational teaching. The project contributed to the improvement of the quality, attractiveness and innovation in education ZST. Purposes have been achieved. Actions: Participation 21 ZST teachers in courses for improving the use of ICT in teaching; The "know-how" exchange teachers of general and vocational subjects; further development of cooperation with the school and partner institutions from 3 EU countries; Learning the methods and vocational training programs in these countries, a comparison the structure and organization of the education system, standards of requirements and evaluation systems; The exchange of experience in distance learning and the use of e-learning; Understanding of the functioning and organization of work in schools, practical training centers and firms in EU countries; learning of foreign languages used in a given proffession. Achieved results: -Proffessional training through the exchange of "know-how" of ZST teachers with experts in the EU; -Getting to know innovative teaching methods and implementing them in ZST; -Getting to know ways to use ICT tools in teaching; -Preparation of teaching materials and their presentations to other teachers in our schools and another schools in the region; -Increase of the educational process innovation; -Confirming acquired skills with the course completion certificate and the Europass Mobility Certificate; -Use of the technical terminology in EU languages, improving language skills through their practical use, -Making new contacts with teachers, experts in education in the partner countries; -The exchange of experience between the partner organizations, sharing the best practices. Participants: 21 teachers of ZST in Mikolow Duration and realization: 20-27.02.2016 Place: Spain, Valencja - 5 teachers 13-20.02.2016 Germany, Schkeuditz - 8 teachers 20-27.02.2016 England, Portsmouth - 8 teachers All participants received a "Certificate of Participation" issued by the host institutions: Esmovia/Vitalis/Training Vision, "certificates of completion" and documents Europass Mobility. With the new knowledge acquired during the course participants prepared presentations and educational materials that have been submitted for other teachers to conferences and special teams concerned.
