Establishing a cycle track in the twin towns of Komárno - Komárom and its connection to the international cycle track: Vienna - Bratislava - Budapest. Achievements: With the construction of the cycle track, cycling has become a feasible way of transport not only for tourists but also for local inhabitants. It allows for a safe and convenient mode of transportation on bike throughout the whole surroundings of Komárno and Komárom. The construction of cycle tracks increases the economic competitiveness of the border region especially through tourism. Most of the cycle tracks run along the Danube river and the unique fortification system. Along the marked cycle tracks there are many natural and cultural attractions, including fortresses in Komárno and Komárom.
