Tranängskolan is an elementary school that has 800 students. The school is today struggling with results at the bottom or below the national average. Just as the PISA survey shows that results in reading and mathematics are deteriorating. We also share the analysis that the OECD has done on the causes of the deterioration in the results. The OECD identified the classroom environment as a crucial development area. The overall aim of the project is to improve the school's performance especially when it comes to students with special needs and to promote inclusion in the classroom. Through the project we want to gain knowledge and how we as leaders in the classroom can create a good class dynamic and a good learning environment where all students feel included. With the project we also want to gain increased ICT knowledge to get a more varied teaching to suit all students. We also want to promote students' language development as well as enhancing and facilitating their interest in schoolwork. This will eventually lead to good study results based on each student's ability. After the courses the participants work systematically with peer learning which is the key factor for successful school improvement
