Knowledge, experience and understanding - the keys to success in adult education

Europe is changing rapidly and with this project we want to tackle an important aspect of the European enlargement process; intends to increasing its volume and improve the quality and accessibility of mobility. Our institutions will exchange information to set up cooperation with each other, in order to fulfill the expectations of citizens to have full and easy access to information and the development of the UE. It will allow improvement of skills, knowledge and cultural level of our target groups, increasing their social abilities, their intellectual interests, and promoting the sociocultural integration of these groups, developing the feeling of being part of a shared European identity. The project gives an opportunity for the partner organizations, which operates in the process of adult education, to develop the mutual cooperation and exchange of experience , as well as improves the quality of the participating organizations. Partners are highly motivated to improve their capacity and competencies in adult education. The partners will share their strengths in adult teaching and learning process through the whole working cycle of the project. Under the project training visits will be organized for the beneficiary`s employees aimed at enhancing and improving knowledge and competence in the area of adult education with account being taken of the specific nature of various disadvantaged groups as well as the application of modern educational techniques. Presented below is the overview of individual activities. Activity 1. Participation in the training session ‘Qualifications and competence of the teaching staff of adults to be held in Lublin (Poland) as of 24/09/2015 until 27/09/2015 . 5 persons from the Italy will take part in this session. The course will be conducted by an Polish expert. Activity 2. Participation in the training session ‘The use of ICT techniques in adult education’ to be held in Yalova (Turkey) as of 04/03/2015 until 07/03/2015. The entire training for 5 persons will be prepared by the Turkish partner and conducted by a professional trainer. Activity 3. Participation in the training session ‘Mental and health circumstances of educating adults including persons in the 50+ age group’ to be held in Riga (Latvia) as of 09/06/2015 until 12/06/2015. The entire training for 5 persons will be prepared by the Latvian partner and conducted by a professional trainer. Activity 4. Organization in the training session ‘Qualifications and competence of the teaching staff of adult students. Making adjustments to the needs of individual disadvantaged groups’, to be held in Bormio in September 2015. Every training (activity) will take 4 days (excluding travel) and will consists of: - a two – day training course conducted by expert, - a one - day visit at a selected adult training centre in order to become familiar on the spot with the methods, organization and technical facilities for the purpose of adult students, - joint discussion panel to be manned by the project participants and persons invited from partners sides. - preparation of e – book, it will contain the training material presented during the two – day session and the findings of the discussion panel. It will be posted on the websites of the partners participating in this activity. Furthermore in September 2015, a similar publication in the form of e – book will be prepared by the Polish side for the entire project. The project will be completed 30/09/2015 As a result of the implementation of the project training part the participants upgraded their knowledge and qualification in the areas of: - wanted qualifications and competences of the adult training staff (with particular emphasis on disadvantaged groups) - mental and health circumstances of educating adults including persons in the 50+ age group, - use of ICT techniques in adult education. Such skills will be used in the future for planning their own work, further development of qualifications and effective realization of teaching targets on the basis of the knowledge and experience freshly acquired by the partners. Visits at leading adult education centres will make it possible to become familiar with other adult training methods and organizational models employed in other partner countries. It was also made possible for educators coming from different countries to establish direct relations which may in the future result in the strengthening of direct contacts between project participants and development of individual content - related cooperation.
