The project involves in Kiuruvesi and Vieremä Community College and Kiuruvesi upper secondary school. Educational institutions are located in North-Savo. Organizations are quite small. Cooperation and networking in our own area and internationally are important for development.
The project aims are: information and communication technology skills increase, staff competence and professional conduct of the development and internationalization and recognition of learning. The project objectives are achieved job shadowing activities as well as updating education for teachers in Hungary, Italy, Spain, Greece, the UK and Cyprus. Job Shadow periods involved in 20 and updating education of 13 experts in their fields. Activities involved in, for example, manual skills, languages, fine arts, social sience, music and theater teachers. By active participation they can get an Open Badge competence character.
As a result of the project the schools have international contacts after staff job shadowing and updating education. Teachers will be encouraged to make better use of a foreign language, and find new ways of working, as well as methods for their own work. Teachers also share their experiences to the organizations staff. The teaching become more advanced, more versatile.
Teachers of partner organizations and through them the students get new impressions of Finnish teaching practices and the system.
