Kinoctambule
Start date: Aug 1, 2015, End date: Dec 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project Kinoctambule is directly inspired by the project Kinomada. The concept is based on intercultural exchange and experience sharing, through making short films. The Kinoctambule gathers for ten days, sixty participants, foreign and local, in order to write, direct and produce short films together. All participants are invited to meet and share their experiences through the creation of one or more films. Each participant can contribute to the realization of films, sharing his professional experience or experimenting new skills. Emergence and transmission of knowledge are at the heart of the project. Participants will create images and music during Kinoctambule. There is no competition between the films and that's really what's specific in this international lab of creation of short films. This allows to gain from the participants, a dedicated commitment to each project and a sense of deliberate sharing. Most important than ever, the goal is not to win but rather to participate. Closely with directors, the films will be submitted to international film festivals, to publicize both, the work of the participants and the project. We plan on a three-year perspective, a development of some activities, including workshops with people from different local neighborhoods and young audiences, development of practices related to the digital creation, and creation of new local and international partnerships.
