The partners of the project “Kinderspielstadt” (children`s play town) are 2 German and 2 Romanian partners: - Paritätischen Jugendwerk Baden-Württemberg e.V., - Asociatia Jugendzentrum Seligstadt (near Fogaras), - Comunitatea Crestinilor in Romania. Cluj-Napoca, - IRIS e.V., Tübingen / Hechingen. General motivation In Romania until now we can find only a few approaches of open children and youth work. In Germany we have a very diverse structure, but it is necessary to reflect the basics for the pedagogical work in opern children and youth work. The planned project wants to contribute to the reflection of open childern and youth work in both countries and contribute by this to develop structures of civil society. The subject of the project is children`s play town. Children´s play town means - in a narrow sens a holiday camp for children, where the children play how to live togehter in a city, - in a broader sens it means places of open children and youth work as places for informal and nonformal learning opportunities for children and young people in a community, as a place with a big variety of communication occasions. The aims of the project are: Aim 1: Qualifying youth worker in approaches and methods concerninge open children and youth work. Aim 2: Qualifying the youth workers from Germany and Romania in developing trainings for volunteers in open children youth work and for the concept of the children`s play town.
