Kilberg goes international
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our school is a part of a chanching and more open world than before. The municipality, Bollnäs, is becoming more and more multicultural than only some decades ago. Kilbergsskolan strives to adapt to this development. Our international development plan is one of the steps in this process and this project will be an introduction to become more international. The objective is to contribute to enhancement of staff's competencies. This will also lead to further development for our organisation as a whole. We intend to send 28 staff, categories: school leaders, teachers and youth recreation leaders. But also the ones who are not travelling will gain from reports at internal meetings and conferences. The activities, in addition to, preparations, follow up work and presentations are: - taking part in presentations of our school in English, in Scotland, - observing lessons and what happens in school during the entire school day, in the partner country, - taking part in discussions in the partner country, what have we seen?, what have we learned? similarities and differences? etc, - jobshadowing. The outcomes will be individual competence enhancement, new input to our school because the participants will share their experiences with the ones who could not take part this time. Our school will be more open to changes and further development which means benefits also for the pupils. Finally we hope to build on to the relations with our international partner. A first step towards this would be to welcome Scottish staff to Bollnäs.
