Achievements: The Gömör-Torna Karst, as well as the Tokaj-Eperjesi Mountains, is divided into two parts by the border between Hungary and Slovakia. They form one unit in a geological and biogeographical sense, therefore they must be managed according to the same principles. The aim of the project was to develop and test sustainable habitat management technologies for the effective conservation of protected grasslands with researches and experimental habitat management activities. One important aim was also to raise the ecological awareness of the local public with nature conservation days, nights of corncrakes and other grassland-dwellers as well as with a newly developed website and exhibition boards.
