The Kick-start project is a multilateral Youth Exchange within the Erasmus+ programme context, which will take place in Northern Italy, Oglio-Po area. The project aims to kick start the competences development process of teen youth. "Kick-start" supports life skills for young people to be aware of their European citizen status, to raise awareness and promote active European citizenship, to promote tolerance and mutual understanding amongst young people from different countries and social backgrounds. Based on the themes of European Awareness and Inclusion this project seeks to achieve the following goals:1. to raise the awareness of 30 young people from 3 countries in regards to being European Citizens over a period of 7 days2. to cultivate inclusive attitudes towards disadvantaged youngsters to 30 young people from 3 countries over a period of 7 days3.to encourage creativity and entrepreneurship initiatives amongst 30 young people from 3 countries over a period of 7 days4. to raise the awareness on European citizenship and related opportunities of 500 young people from the Oglio Po basin area over a period of 8 months.Thus in the seven days of activity, the participants, aged 14-18, from Italy, Denmark and Romania will explore and better assimilate together concepts like European Citizenship, intercultural dialogue, inclusion through different types of activities. Using common or similar elements, such as European citizenship youngsters are in the proper environment to experience diversity as a positive aspect of life, encouraging them to be active citizens that participate in their community life, European citizens that help to build an open society.The activity uses many non formal education tools, in order to cultivate and encourage inclusive attitudes and youngsters' initiative. Amongst methods are simulation games, presentations, role play, debate and group building activities.Through this project, young people will be aware of their EU citizen status and become more active, involved citizens in the democratic processes. The youth involved will become actors of inclusion, having developed competences int his field. The project is also a contribution to the competences needed to successfully find a placement on the work market or be endowed with the creativity and attitude to start a private activity that can create a revenue.
