Non-formal education caters to diverse and context specific learning needs of children, young people and adults worldwide. It involves a wide range of stakeholders, including educational establishments, the private sector, non-governmental organizations and public institutions. Non-formal education mostly leads to qualifications that are not recognized as formal or equivalent to formal qualifications by the relevant national or sub-national stakeholder or to no qualifications at all. Non-formal education can cover programmes contributing to youth literacy and education for out-of school young people, as well as programmes on life skills, work skills, and social or cultural development.The project aims to contribute at strengthening the recognition of non-formal education among such stakeholders as labor market, formal education, decision makers, parents and young people themselves.The partners have agreed on the following objectives:1. To strengthen the recognition and validation of learning occurred through a non formal education1.1 To develop strategies to enhance the recognition of non-formal education in the labor and educational sector, decision makers,parents and young people1.2 To raise awareness among stakeholder on competencies gained through non-formal education1.3 To strengthen the dialogue between stakeholder and youth workers on the recognition of non-formal education2. To enable young people to recognize and capitalize their competences achieved through non-formal education2.1 To give 25 young workers tools and techniques to conduct effective debriefings and evaluation with young people; 2.2 To give 25 youth workers tools and methods to conduct with young people carrier planning;2.3 To give 25 youth workers tools and methods in mentoring and coaching;2.4 To provide 25 youth workers methods to use Youthpass for recognizing non-formal education.This project entails two activities as follows:- a Seminar within representatives of the partner organizations will meet various stakeholders and together will develop strategiesfor recognizing and validation of competences gained by young people through non-formal education;- a Training Course wherein youth workers from the partner organizations will gain tools, methods and techniques to strengthen young people's reflection on their competences achieved in a non-formal environment and enable them to capitalize these competences.The project involves 7 partners from Denmark, Romania, Spain, Turkey, Estonia, Poland and Italy.
