The validation of informal and non-formal learning is of increasing importance across Europe (CEDEFOP, 2009). The Key competences: Validating Adult Learners' edUcational ExperienceS_KVALUES consortium brings together adult cultural educators from IT, UK, DE, SW, EE, BG to develop and test the digital storytelling methodology as an innovative tool to guide adults and young adults in disadvantaged conditions to self-evaluate and recognize skills and key competences acquired through informal learning context such as work, volunteering, family and community related activities. Beside contributing to the European debate, KVALUES aims at identifying what competences and skills can be validated by engaging different stakeholders.KVALUES aims at:- identifying skills and competences to be validated - developing an innovative tool for self-assessment and description of the skills and key competences acquired in a life and working context; - raising awareness among disadvantaged adults and young adults, unemployed, inactive, that life and work environments can be turned into places of learning;- strengthening the role of cultural organization delivering adult liberal educational courses in validating key competences- to test European guidelines for the validation of non-formal and informal learning ("Action plan on Adult learning")By:- Research and Exchange of Best Practices-Training of 20 adults educators from the cultural sector of IT, SW, EE, BG in UK and DE -Training of 80 adults to create a digital curricula story - Grundtvig inservice training courseProject outputs:-"Digital curricula stories for all. Tools and guidelines for adult educators” PDF in English- Project handbook “Final publication of the results of the project” (IT, BG, EE, SE, DE, EN)- Interactive website platform to create your own digital curricula story (IT, BG, EE, SE, DE, EN) A dissemination and exploitation strategy is planned throughout the project to make use of project's results
