Kdo jamči za mlade?
Start date: Feb 1, 2015, End date: Jun 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our project is mainly based on the Youth Guarantee initiative by the European Union, which aims to provide the European youth with better employment opportunities after the education process by ensuring access to additional training, internship or job offers. Youth Guarantee policies are already being implemented in Slovenia, but future plans are only finished for the years 2014 and 2015. Our main goal is to come up with ten demands for the decision-makers, concerning further implementation of the Guarantee. To achieve this, we will activate Slovenian youth in order for them to get more knowledge on the subject, take part in debates and creation of demands. Since our plan is to get a broad view of the subject and put emphasis on exchange of good practices, we decided to cooperate with the Croatian Youth Network, which has also been part of the creation process in the case of Youth Guarantee implementation in Croatia and has in-depth knowledge of the active employment policies in Croatia, especially in the field of youth. Number of participants (excluding decision-makers and external participants at round tables) will be 30, and this group will consist of representatives from Sindikat Mladi Plus, Croatian Youth Network and Slovenian youth, that would like to be an essential part in creation of policies, that will in many ways impact their future. Planned activities cover everything from preparation, which includes analysis of the policies and the impacts they have, a working weekend and meetings with decision-makers, to the presentation of results and its impacts. We expect our demands will be taken seriously and taken into account, since they will directly reflect experience of Slovenian youth and their needs. Impacts will be long-term, since we wish to influence the Youth Guarantee future implementation.
