The teacher of music and educator for children with special needs and autistic spectrum disorders at Pelci special boarding primary school-Development centre will attend "Teacher Training Course on Boal's Methodology in Education'' courses within the framework of the project "Every child is important" which will take place from 23.07.2015. to 29.07.2015. In these courses the teacher will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about Boal's methodology theory on dealing with conflicts in schools, will gain deeper understanding of conflict situations, their types and the different approaches of dealing with such situations from different countries, as well as improve English and ICT skills. During the project the teacher will participate in the exchange of experience with participants from other European countries. The plan of the project will be presented in the methodological meetings of the teacher union, and the knowledge and methods acquired will be applied when working with children with special needs, easing and improving the educational process. In order to share the acquired knowledge and experience not only with the staff at the given educational institution, but also with teachers from all over the region and republic, a course programme for continuing education will be created and licensed in Kuldigas local government's department of education. The information about these courses will be placed in Kuldigas local government's web-page's section for education, as well as websites eTwinning, Facebook and local newspapers "Kuldigas novada Vestis" and "Kurzemnieks". The expected results of the project: the improvement of an individualised study approach when working with children with special needs and autistic spectrum disorders; the development of interpersonal communication skills in the educational process; the professional growth of the teaching staff; the creation of a more modern, dynamic and professional working environment in the educational institution; getting to know other cultures and sharing experience.
