The plan of internationalization in the school year of 2016 – 2017 is multifaceted. We want to put our efforts into developing language skills, mainly to give our students different tools to enhance their writing and reading abilities in order to defer them from dropping out of school.We want to educate teachers who teach in English, through in-service training, not only digital technique but also language and social science. The most important reason for this is to enhance teachers’ abilities to use digital tools for assessment. After having finished the course both students and teachers should be able to communicate via digital media on educational issues.Katedralskolan in Linkoping will start receiving new arrivals during 2016 to give them an introduction to the Swedish language. Therefore we want to train a special pedagog in English and in how the rest of Europe does in this matter. Some of the new arrivals know English why communication will be facilitated, and thus the learning of Swedish will improve, which might lead to better integration. It is also important to find out about other countries’ special pedagogical tutoring to avoid cultural clashes.We wish to implement all of the above to reach our goals in our plan of internationalization and to let our vision live: “Together with you, we will promote your best possible potential to succeed in the future”.
