Κατάρτιση σε Καινοτόμες Τεχνολογίες και η Εφαρμογή τους στην Εκπαίδευση Ενηλίκων
Start date: Dec 20, 2016, End date: Dec 19, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

It is widely known that through education and training, many adults augment their abilities, knowledge and resume with the sole purpose of enhancing their position within the labor market. Especially during times of economic downturn, the way to finding a stable job enforces raising ones knowledge and skills. Thus, provision of training plays a crucial part to the beneficiary, especially to the young where unemployment is at its peak. Quality requires the trainer and by extent his collaborators to be themselves of excellent quality and their methodologies modern so that they generate interest.Today, the increase of the ease of access to technical products has enabled one to be able to know and operate from childhood, at least at a basic level, the computer systems and other wonders of modern technology such as tablet, smartphone etc.. Traditional methods of teaching no longer generate interest to the new generations resulting in the reduction of absorption of the information provided during class. As the sending partner and the organization submitting this proposal, the management of E-School educational group wishes to provide an innovative and qualitative training environment, so that through successful teaching we can raise the qualifications of our trainees. The experience of E-School educational group in the field of adult education started well over twelve years ago. Our great contribution especially on the sector of combating youth unemployment is noted through the various training voucher programmes, where since mid-2013 to date about 700 unemployed people aged 18-29 trained in our modern facilities. E-School’s areas of expertise since 2003 are mentioned in detail at sector C.1.3..As the receiving organization, MECB (MACDAC ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY BUREAU LTD) staged on Malta, has great expertise in training on a number of innovative subjects such as ECO Innovation, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality etc.. Members of MECB are known for their academic works as well as peer reviewed scientific articles, as well as great experience through the participation of MECB in European Projects such as Leonardo, Grundtvig, FP6/7 & EU Asia-Link (described in more detail at section C.2.3..The main subject of the training at Malta will be learning the basic functions of the Augmented Reality technology (A.R.), hands-on practical sessions for the beneficiaries, and the use of A.R. in adult education. The project will start with preparatory stages (seminar for technical definitions in English, seminar for the good use of presentation techniques, useful information of the area where the training will take place in Malta etc.), and in July 2016 MECB will host at Malta the training course on Augmented Reality. The seminar at Malta will last five (5) days, and will include theory on the first day and hands-on practical training from second through to fourth day, while on the last (fifth) day there will be a group project design and presentation. The staff who will participate at this mobility action will be fifteen (15) teachers of various fields, such as Computer Science, Economics, Sociology and other educational fields. The participants will be graduates of at least higher education, while many will be holding a master or a doctorate. All participants will hold knowledge of basic English, as the seminar will be held in this language, and they will also be able to use computers as well as presentation techniques. After the return trip from Malta, the teachers who will participate in this mobility project, will prepare and deliver content regarding their respective field, based on A.R., that they will in turn use in training courses in which they teach. Reports and evaluations based on questionnaires will be implemented throughout all stages of the procedure, both horizontally and vertically. We must note that throughout this project there will be feedback via a special web page dedicated to this specific project. We expect that every individual will enhance his knowledge and skills on adult education, while our company will have indirect benefits as we will be able to provide the most innovative and qualitative adult education possible. Also, we will set the foundation for a new methodology of training, and we will distribute through our associates in other institutions both foreign and domestic to all interested teachers. Of course, the major benefit of this project is delivered to the primary target group, the persons who will participate in our next courses as they will receive the most modern and innovative training.
