Start date: Dec 1, 2014, End date: Nov 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The economic situation and the socio-economic changes in the construction industry that have occurred recently have created new standards in the market, which affect their professionals to focus on new services - techniques that have as an objective the protection of the environment factors . Watching closely these data the Chamber of Evia, as a formalized executive of the State, it seeks to serve and promote the interests of member companies by designing actions targeted at improving competitiveness and modernization of business operation. Thus, exploring the state of business in the competitive environment, the specific needs of the local labor market but also according to the business design, the Chamber of Evia chose to support at this stage managers and employers responsible for human resources associated with the construction industry - Electricians, plumbers, alumino-makers, carpenters-in order to become more competitive, to learn new methods of production and organization of their work and to upgrade their skills by participating in the "TRAINING IN PROFFESIONS of THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY FOR GREEN BUILDING» . Under this strategy the central aim of the project is the implementation of training in selected foreign institutions, so members belonging to the above undertakings, acquire new knowledge and skills that will open up new perspectives on their business. The team selection was made due to the fact that in the region of Evia, because of the large building development, the numeric number of these professionals is very high and because of the economic crisis and ongoing recession experienced by the industry, they want to train and transfer innovative / new practices, which are both mandatory by law and by customer demand to make them competitive. Thus a training is proposed in educational institutions of Germany (40 participants) and Spain (30 participants) who will be employers and human resource managers and are engaged in the construction sector - Electricians, plumbers, alumino-makers, carpenters - in order for participants to gain specific theoretical knowledge and develop skills through an internship in companies operating abroad. This action will have multiplier effects and benefits for the participants, as it will provide the framework for future cooperation and networking and for actors involved who will confirm earlier cooperation in European programs. This adds value to task because it creates an environment where apart from the development of skills and acquisition of new knowledge for beneficiaries, it promotes a European environment of collaborations between partners, with a positive impact on the profile of each participant in the project organization. The beneficiaries of the mobility in order to improve the quality of the products in their businesses and be competitive and keep their jobs, they are looking for opportunities to acquire new knowledge and getting more professional experience, in order to turn to new services that present demand. To make this shift substantial training is required in a series of issues related to new trends in the business sectors in which they operate. Because the opportunity to gain that experience in Greece is extremely limited, this project aims to fill this weakness while giving them the opportunity to contact and meet respective educational bodies and foreign companies. Having a sense of social responsibility towards the environment and future generations, the Chamber of Evia and aiming at adopting these green techniques in business and in residential areas, a central objective of the proposal is to present and inform entrepreneurs about the multiple benefits, both in economic terms and in environmental, yielding medium to long term adoption and implementation of green techniques. Host organizations were selected for the implementation of the program is training organizations and companies from Germany (UVE) and Spain (AEMIFESA). The program will be implemented in Germany 40 participants and Spain 30 participants will be going respectively – HR managers and employers in the construction industry (plumbers, electricians, aluminum fabricator, and carpenters) in order to pass on the knowledge and skills to their workers.
