Karjaaribuss "Elu kutsub!"
Start date: Jun 12, 2012,

The purpose of the project "Careerbus- Life is calling You!" is to empower youngsters from the small place in the periphery of Estonia, Misso parish, for entering the labour market by providing them knowledge about different possibilities to work, different career options and inspiration for making career-related decisions. In order to do that we are planning to go on a road-trip by a buss and visit 7 youth centres all over Estonia where we would have discussion circles about what kind of fears and lack of information youngsters in the different places in Estonia have about the labour market. In order to spice up the project, we will arrange 6 celebrities from Estonia to join us on a tour. They will talk in an informal environment (during the bust rip for example) how they found their profession and what they like about it and why it is an important decision etc. Being on a bus with celebrities gives youngster a possibility to ask questions that they might not dare to ask in a public lecture or in a school etc. So the project will deal with several issues:* project involves discussions in 7 Estonian youth centre about work-related issues. The methods that will be used are mainly world-cafe but also some introductory methods that will give youngsters a possibility to gain new contacts in the youth centres that are being visited* project involves contacts with 6 celebrities in an informal environment where youngsters have the possibility to ask question and gain information and inspiration of how to make better decisions* project involves also self-learning part: youngsters are actively engaged to all processes of the project. For example from the Misso parish will gather information about different professions and make a exhibition inside the bus, so that when arriving to different youth centres they themselves can be the ones who pass on the information to the other youngsters. Also they will make a presentation of their culture. Misso is geographically and culturally located in an area where Estonian indigenous people called setod live. It is a culturally interesting place where seto culture meets the culture of võro. Youngsters will introduce the cultural distinctions in the youth centres that will be visited.*Project will involve youth centres in Jõgeva, Narva, Rakvere, Haapsalu, Järvakandi, Karksi-Nuia, Rõuge and lasts for 7 days (preparations and accounting not included) and the target group is 15 youngsters from the Misso parish and youngsters from the youth centres that also participate in the project.
