The objective is to produce a television documentary called "Karelias builders”, about the recent history of Southeast and Eastern Finland. The documentary will present the interrelation of the areas neighbouring on Finlands eastern border as a single large area of implementation of construction projects in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. The building sites were located on the Russian side, and the construction projects were implemented by Finns. The theme is topical again. Finns are currently involved in bidding for contracts in the St Petersburg and Moscow areas, and the border between Imatra and Svetogorsk is being re-opened and a so-called double city is being formed at the frontier out of these towns.
