KALI ZOR(Intercambio Internacional Juvenil Gitano sobre Deporte, salud y cultura)
Start date: Aug 1, 2015, End date: Feb 29, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Kali Zor (International Youth Roma Exchange on Sport, Health and Culture) is a project that wants to become a creative and positive way to encourage self-organization, empowerment, public awareness, the values of sport and the need for healthy lifestyles among young Roma and non-Roma participants. More than 60 young Roma and non-Roma from Poland, Germany, Hungary, France, Austria, Albania, Romania,Serbia and Spain will participate in the exchange that will take place in Badalona, Spain. During aproximately 10 days, young people will have the opportunity to learn and share about themselves and their community of origin, we will promote an attitude of tolerance based on mutual respect, and through a series of informal sportive and educational activities the ties between young people from different background will be reinforced positively. The inclusion is a major theme throughout the process; inclusion and equity are key priorities for our work, for all young Roma and non-Roma, in the project we are looking particularly for a balance of gender, ethnic and cultural background between the participants. It is essential for us, from our work philosophy, to create a common, collaborative space where various cultural and educational activities offer young people the opportunity to reinterpret themselves as positive agents of social change in their own communities, all of which is facilitated by an activity such as sport, full of natural values as friendship, interpersonal fluid communication between young people from different sociocultural background, honor, honesty, respect, teamwork and participatory spirit. This event has the support of local authorities and relevant political actors.
