"Kalejdoskop europejskich tradycji"

„Kalejdoskop europejskich tradycji” is a project of multilateral exchange of the youth from Poland, Belarus, Germany and Lithuania within the Erasmus+ project, in which participated 28 people. The project was being implemented from 14.09.2015 to 13.01.2016 in the European Education and Training Centre of OHP (Voluntary Labour Corps) in Roskosz. The main aim of this project was to promote the heritage and intercultural dialogue, getting to know other cultures, traditions, customs, ways of celebrating various holidays, developing the sense of solidarity, tolerance and understanding of diversity, promoting the European nationality, learning about the possibility for young people to express their opinion in local and European structures. From 18.10.2015 to 25.10.2015 in the European Education and Training Centre of OHP in Roskosz the international exchange of the youth from Poland, Belarus, Germany and Lithuania took place within the project. During their stay in Roskosz a group of participants established an intercultural dialogue and they got acquainted with traditions, rites and cultures of their countries, they were looking for similarities and differences on the example of celebrating holidays in their countries, they also had an opportunity to discuss and work out conclusions concerning the possibility of voicing their opinion and influencing the EU politics, expressing themselves creatively during art workshops when preparing decorations and they could integrate by spending time actively outdoors. Additionally the participants developed their abilities as for the organization, planning, monitoring, self- reflection concerning learning, communicating, respecting one another, solidarity, tolerance for otherness, presenting and negotiating their ideas, remarks, cooperation in the international group. What is more, they learnt how to give an account of their actions and form conclusions, gather and pass information and perform in public. The youth presented their national holiday traditions and customs with great involvement during special classes dedicated to each country separately and also demonstrated the culture, history and geography of their country, traditional costumes, dances and folk games and the food specialties during the intercultural meeting. Additionally the participants took part in games and integrational activities, sports competitions outdoors, field games, integrational bonfire, visited the village of disappearing crafts located in the Centre in Roskosz. The participants learnt during the discussion panels about the possibility to voice their opinions and participate in the life of local communities and on the international level, learnt about the benefits stemming from realizing and estimating the process of non-formal learning. The direct result of the student exchange was the immediate conference organized for the local media and society during which the participants talked about the project and undertaken actions, and shared their views concerning the stay, presented the photo gallery and the most interesting learnt games connected with holidays and traditions of the countries the participants came from. Other results of this project is the calendar of European traditions, with informations and interesting issues concerning the holidays and traditions of Lithuania, Belarus, Germany and Poland.
