Meeting of german and moldovan adolescents in the republic of moldova within the context of a summercamp from august 8 to august 19, 2014. A total of 60 people could participate, of that 20 germans and 40 moldovan. This project is the result of the relationship between the registered association "Hoffnung fuer alle" ("Hope for All") in Germany and the children's relief organisation "Elim Moldova" from Moldova. During the last seven years "Hope for all" gained many sponsors, who support "Elim Moldova" financially. In addition the german association organized godparenthoods for moldovan children and adolescents. Requesting to establish personal contact with the godchildren the association's members developed the idea of this project. It stroves for creating space for intercultural communication between the youth of both nations. In consequence the participants had broaden their social, cultural and linguistic horizon. The moldovan youth have grown up in an different social and financial environment. They benefit from the summer camp especially by getting distance to their challenging daily life. As the project improved the relationship between the involved people, it has also strengthen the relationship between germany and moldova.
