JP - EUJEP - European Japanese Exchange Projct in Nuclear Disciplines

The European Japanese Exchange Project in Nuclear Disciplines covers the mobility programme of students at the Master level ofNuclear Engineering and other Nuclear Disciplines related to the application of nuclear technologies and radiation sciences. Theproject includes exchanges of students and faculty members between five European and three Japanese institutions. All institutionsare already mutually involved in bilateral or multilateral exchange programmes in the framework of several agreements or aMemorandum of Understanding. The project provides resources to achieve the objectives and to implement the activities expressedby the partners in those agreements. The project includes the mobility of 30 European students and 10 faculty members to Japanand the mobility of 30 students and 8 faculty members from Japan to the European Union. The project will produce the mutualrecognition of higher education curricula in nuclear disciplines and a common level of qualifications for the Masters of Sciences innuclear engineering. In the long term, the impact of this young generation is expected to benefit to the design, construction andoperation of nuclear power plants and to the implementation of nuclear and radiation technologies with respect to theirsustainability, their reliability and their safety aspects.
