The Project "Jóvenes levantando los pueblos y razas del mundo" is a an educational project with an objective of demonstrating to a broad public the cultural and natural treasures of ethnic minorities, their every day life and problems they face, as well as introducing those minorities to the multi-cultural global society, its ideas and difficulties.There are different organization from various parts of the world participating in the project: from Poland, Romania and Spain, which work with Roms; from Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama and Guinea Bissau which work with indigenous groups and tribes.Each month in each region the group often young individuals will photograph the issues related to the one of carefully chosen international days and prepare thematic workshops and events for a local community.The project will start with the international seminary in Spain, in which youth leaders will be introduced to the details of the project and will elaborate the model of international cooperation to make the work in local communities more effective and valuable.The summary of the project will take form of the international conference in Cracow (Poland), organized with the help of local NGOs and Universities. The conference will mark an opening to a photo gallery and materials elaborated during the project and will include discussion board focused on the problems of each organization participating in the project. With the collaboration of NGOs, Jagiellonian University and other entities we will get to know the cultural and natural treasures, as well as difficulties related to contemporary problems including migrations, and discrimination.The photo gallery will be one of the very rare occasion to see the community, its culture and internal problems as seen by themselves and not by tourists or resarchers.
