The plan of this bilateral partnership, between the Italian Scuola Media I.C. Primo Levi Tavarnuzze, Impruneta (FI) and the French Collège Les Campelières, Mougins, Provence - Alpes - Côte d’Azur, came into being in Ireland, during the contact seminar “Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy School”.The main themes of the project will be based on the idea of health, not only as a personal but also as a social value. The goal is to demonstrate how healthy habits – achieved through a proper diet and proper physical activities – could become priorities for young European students and contribute to convey the idea of a European citizenship in spite of different cultural backgrounds. Through the study of food and food processing, the rediscovery of our cultural roots in the way we used to eat, and the practice of sport and/or of physical activities, we intend to teach our students longlife healthy habits so as to achieve a relevant social value too. We will work using interdisciplinary activities with different teachers (Biology, PE, Science, Technology, English, ICT, Italian, French) and local contributors (nurses, local health department staff, school canteen staff, etc). The age of students will be 12-13 for the Italian institution and 12 up to 14 for the French institution
