In this project the following parties are participating: the Johannes Waldorf School and Kindergarden teachers and the school board members. The wish for additional training originates from the school's curriculum, the school's development plan and the organisational analysis based on the McKinsey method. Waldorf pedagogy is a specific educational method, and the waldorf-specific courses for which we'd like to get funding are being given in Waldorf educational centers across Europe. The aim of the project is to enhance the teacher's specific skills and to improve the level of all parties involved (teachers, parents, school board). The participants are 22 teachers, one member of the school board and one administrator. The courses consist of 15 specific, advanced-level pedagogical courses and one team-building course to enhance internal communication. The execution of the project relies on two coordinators and an administrative manager. The coordinators gather and share all the information to the participants of the project and other parties involved. The administrative manager is reponsible for the financial bookkeeping. The project's main goal is to get motivated and inspired teachers with new skills and knowledge, and so to get a better interaction with pupils and parents. Teachers who have gone to courses will also share their newly obtained knowledge through the school's educational center, as guest speakers in the Tartu Waldorf seminar, in workshops organised in different Waldorf schools in Estonia and on Waldorf courses held outside of Estonia (Lithuania, Latvia, Russia). In a future perspective the team of teachers will consist of both teachers who have a general teacher's qualification and teachers who have a specific Waldorf education (in addtion).
