Participation of this project is ment for teachers and members of the board of MTÜ Rosma Haridusselts (NGO Rosma Educational Society) that is operating Johannese Kool ja Lasteaed Rosmal (Johannes’s School and Kindergarten at Rosma). The training need is based on the developmental plan as well as on the educational plan of the school and the society. Based on specifics of pedagogical and operational management of our school we are connected to trainings and experience of Europe. There is no possibility to have training of this kind in Estonia, but the knowledge achieved is the base of our everyday performance both in work with our students as well as in the field of running the school. The idea of the school is to create the space for supporting the growth of free human being applying Steiner pedagogic way. This ties us more tightly to the European Waldorf schools’ Network and their experience, than it is common in Estonian educational field as a whole. Waldorf pedagogical experience is crossing national, religious and cultural borders. The aim of the project is to give the opportunity for teachers to develop their vocational skills and to keep up their motivation to guarantee their personal and professional growth. The specifics of our school is the collegial leadership, that presupposes advanced co-operation between parents and teachers. This is the reason why parents, who are active in the Board, are attracted to be the participants in the project. The assumption of the project is using our experience and co-operation not only in our school but as well including the wider public and liaison between Estonian Waldorf schools. 80% of teachers’ and leadership collegiums are going to take part in the training. Courses have been chosen according to the need to deepen teachers’ vocational skills, keeping in mind the needs of the school as well as needs of every person’s individual progress. Courses for developing the skills of collegial leadership and co-operational ability have been chosen keeping in mind, that attainable knowledge would be useful for teachers and parents despite of their speciality. All teachers responsible for different study disciplines are going to take part in this education. Action is chosen from different teachers’ continuing education courses, seminars and practical workshops. Teachers’ collegium in concert with the Board has come through the school developmental plan to reach the educational needs. Every person connected to the educational project has the obligation to use and share the attained knowledge in implementing the principals of the organization. The project is going to be coordinated by representatives of both: the teachers’ and leadership collegiums. The task of coordinators is to create the possibility inside the organization to take part in the trainings, to inform and support the participants as much as possible. Primary result of the project is creative and highly motivated teacher working with the pupil/student. Internal goal is to create joint awareness between teachers and members of the Board so, that it supports operating the organization and carries its higher goals. Taken more expandedly the knowledge attained through the project is going to make it possible to inform the community and wider public about the possibilities of Waldorf education and collegial leadership, also to attract people and parents interested in the field, educate grown-ups and to deepen the cooperation between different Waldorf schools in Estonia. We cannot underestimate the importance of personal contacts and contacts with other Waldorf schools and communities all over the Europe, including cultural meetings and exchange that becomes into life through this project.
