Jobbpepp is a Youth Exchange taking place in Rejkevik, Iceland, August 2014 with 30 youngsters from Sweden and Iceland. The participating youngsters will acquire tools through non formal learning, transnational networks, role models and practical work in public-private-NGO sector to grow out of unemployment. Our methodology will focus on building a model which contributes on the European strategy on lowering youth unemployment. The goals of this model are: 1. To help men and women that are long term unemployed come closer to the job market, and raise the interest of this group to work outside their physical and psychological borders. 2. Help youngsters to establish in the labor market and prevent drop outs. 3. To help youngsters with an emigrant background come closer to the job market. Aim of the exchange The project aim is to increase young people employability and competitiveness on the labour market. The exchange will offer opportunities for sharing experience and good practices between young unemployed people We believe that after the implementation of the exchange we will have: • At least 80% of the participants have established a network that helps them come closer to the job market • At least 90% of the participants have become more interested and have started thinking on working or studding abroad. . gained practical knowledge that is needed on the labor market • a bigger interest of entrepreneurship and creativity • better self-esteem and a feeling of European/Nordic identity
