In the EU-28 we suffer from a dramatic situation concerning young people unemployment. There is a gap of nearly 50 percentage point between the Member State with the lowest rate of youth unemployment (Germany with 7,7% at the end of 2013) and the MS with the highest rate (Greece, 57,3% and followed by Spain with 56%), then Croatia (52%), Italy (40,1%), Cyprus (38,6%) and Portugal (36,8%). Under this context, JOB IMPULSE aims at reinforcing the links between skilled job seekers and the world of work and to contribute to the visibility of European reference tools for the recognition, validation and transparency of competences and qualifications. According to the ERASMUS+ guide, this project target mainly the follow specific objective: to improve the level of key competences and skills, with particular regard to their relevance for the labour market and their contribution to a cohesive society, in particular through increased opportunities for learning mobility and through strengthened cooperation between the world of education and training and the world of work. The main objectives of JOB IMPULSE are: - promoting take-up of innovative practices by supporting the strategic use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and open educational resources (OER); - promoting structured inter-regional cooperation: enhancing the commitment of local and regional pubic authorities in the qualitative develpment of the education, training and youth fields; - increasing participation in learning and employability by developing quality career guidance, counsuelling and support services; - facilitating the transition of learniers through different levels and types of formal/non-formal educationa and training thruough the use of European reference tools for the recognition, validation and transparency of compentencies and qualificaitons. JOB IMPULSE operating objective/activities s are: - Developing a database/portal for job seekers at EU level (JOB IMPULSE) which enables job seekers to highlight skills and competences acquired in the frame of transnational mobility actions. - Promoting the JOB IMPULSE database of job seekers to companies / sectors seeking skilled personnel allowing them to upload occupational profiles and to seek personnel according to the occupational profile in the specific sector. - Defining best praxis and developing new methods in promoting the potential of Erasmus+ VET Programmes for the development of skilled work force towards employers both in all participating countries and at EU level. - Developing support training modules which help identify needs of individual participants to motivate and enable them to uprade their professional profile in view of the skills demanded by employers on the European Labour market. - Creating training paths about preparatory training and job guidance in order to booster the potentiality of transnational mobility actions. - Dissemination event for target groups in Greece - Dissemiantions event in each partner territory - Training event for job seekers in Greece for testing the E-Learning Open Educational Resources Expected results: - To support mobility participants after their international experience - To increase the employability of young skilled people after an international experience - To enhance the use of European certification tools in order to foster the employability - To stimulate the recognition of competences at the end of a mobility experiences, in accordance with the ECVET system - To involve public bodies in charge of Education, Training and Employment in the support of target groups in their transition to the labour market - To promote E-learning Open Educational Resources for fostering the employability - To capitalize the value of the international mobility experiences as a tool for learning and personal and professional development - To improve the tutoring and mentoring practices and tools of the mobility experiences, considering them learning processes in which participants should plan their learning paths accordingly to the personal and professional objectives There are different levels of target groups for JOB IMPULSE: The direct beneficiaries of project products are: Job Seekers: JOB IMPULSE is addressed to young people that have participated in an international mobility experience and either has not found a job yet or are willing to reorient their professional pathway. Employers: Partners of JOB IMPULSE have important networks of companies interested in young people with an international background profile. Other stakeholders: Any company will be invited to join the platform; Public bodies; Promoters of Mobility projects; Intermediary organisations that have worked on many mobility projects; promoters and National Agencies.
